Terms in plain English
This is a summary of how Careerloom works. You will receive the full Terms of Service and Client Agreement to read before you sign anything.
What we are
Careerloom is a coaching and document service. We are not a recruitment agency or employment agency, and we do not find or offer jobs.
No guarantees
We do not guarantee interviews, job offers or any particular result. Hiring decisions are made by employers.
Your accounts
We never ask for your passwords and never log in to your accounts. We prepare your application drafts and you review and submit them yourself.
Honesty
Everything you give us must be true. We will not add false information to any document, and you must attend your own interviews.
Fees and cancelling
Your fee is confirmed in your Client Agreement before you sign. You pay nothing to start. If you are an individual buying online, you have 14 days to cancel without giving a reason. If you ask us to start during that time and then cancel, you pay a fair amount for work already done. The fee is due after the 14-day period ends, and it does not depend on interviews or getting a job.
Your data
We use your personal data only to provide your services, and handle it under UK data protection law. We do not sell it, and we delete your documents after a set period. You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time.
Clients outside the UK
We work online with clients in many countries. English law governs our terms, and you keep any legal rights you have under the law of the country where you live that cannot be removed by a contract. We cannot advise on visas or immigration.
Business pitches and funding
There is no fee to send us a pitch. We choose which businesses to support. Funding is never guaranteed, and any funding or support is offered in writing after we check your business. We do not give regulated financial, legal or tax advice.
Complaints
If you are unhappy, contact us and we will reply within three working days.
